Proudly Tasmanian: Cascade celebrates 200 years with 200 free beers

Born and raised Hobartian Jack Riewoldt said: “It’s great to be in my hometown to commemorate a historic Tasmanian brand that’s been at the centre of celebrations for many generations. To be in business 200 years is incredible and I hope all Tasmanian beer lovers raise a glass to Cascade for this special birthday.

“It’s a pleasure to offer my fellow Tasmanians a free beer to help celebrate. I reckon the only thing better than a cold Cascade is a free cold Cascade!”

The Claremont Hotel in Claremont and Post Street Social in Hobart will host in April and May respectively. Venues for the following months will be announced on Cascade Brewery’s website and social media in the days leading up to each event. The offer is strictly limited to one free beer, per person, per venue.

Carlton & United Breweries’ Tasmanian Sales Manager Matthew McGowan said: “Cascade is not only Australia’s oldest brewery, but also one of Australia’s oldest businesses. Cascade beer has stood the test of time and holds a revered place in the hearts and minds of Tasmanians. We thank Tasmanian beer lovers for their loyalty.”

Cascade Brewery is also releasing commemorative Cascade Draught 375mL cans emblazoned with the words “Standing proud for 200 years”

The 200-year celebrations will keep flowing throughout 2024, with more details to be announced soon.
