TWL presents: Going to the Bar (CPD)

Join Tasmanian Barristers Jennifer O'Farrell and Matthew Verney for a continuing professional development event on 'Going to the Bar'.

Jennifer joined the Bar on 1 July 2023. Before joining the Bar, Jennifer practised as a solicitor for over 10 years, first at a national firm in Melbourne and then at Dobson Mitchell Allport in Hobart. She has experience in a broad range of commercial, civil and administrative matters. She has appeared in the Federal Court of Australia and a number of State-based courts and tribunals.

Matthew joined the Bar on 1 November 2021. Before joining the bar he worked in private practice since 1995 in Devonport. In 2003 he commenced his own firm and remained as a principal until November 2021. Throughout that time he practiced initially in criminal and civil litigation after which he practiced mainly in family law and child protection matters.
